The Rethink – First steps to more creativity, confidence and calm.
Is it time for a rethink about how you work, the work you do and how you look after yourself and spend your time when you’re not working?
You did all the ‘right things’. You worked hard at school, got excellent grades and then got the kind of job that family and friends admire, the sort that meant you’d ‘made it’.
There are parts of you that you’ve been ignoring for a long while…
There’s the creative part of you that got put to one side.
There’s the part of you that has some dreams about what you might like to do in life but is afraid that you won’t be good enough to make it happen, or that you won’t see it through or even that you’ve missed your chance.
You’ve been caught up whirling round in all the things there are to do as though you’ve been on a carousel overseen by a crazy clown who just makes it go faster and faster and never hits the off lever. But your life isn’t an episode of Scooby Doo and the clown never gets unmasked as the janitor.
You’re tired, overworked and uninspired and you want to go on new and different rides – ones that feel more like a peaceful hot-air balloon ride high over a beautiful landscape as you look out over the most beautiful sunset.
To have more feeling of inner rest and calm.
To allow and explore your creativity.
To feel that you can do the things you want to do in your life and that this time you will begin to explore your life’s purpose.
To be able to show up as the best version of you more of the time so you can support others and make a difference.
Maybe it’s your time for a rethink?
Imagine you started to work on your writing or creative project at last.
Perhaps you figure out what you really want to be doing with your days and then start exploring and leaning into that, ever so slightly at first, and then with more and more confidence.
You’re able to bring practices into your life that bring you more calm and you’re able to listen to the little voice that believes in you and believes that you can.
Does this sound familiar…
- You want more than to watch Netflix shows back to back, although that can be really nice too.
- You want a new and better normal.
- You have realised that being kind to yourself as you go through your days would be a support that you would really benefit from.
- You want to be strong for other people and that means being kind to you first.
- You have in the past felt guilty when you care for yourself but want that to change.
- Ideas of how you could make a difference are whispering to you and you want to start listening to them and see where they take you.
- You want to live a life where you feel that you are living your life’s purpose more of the time.
I’m a life coach for people who know in their hearts that they’re happiest when they’re being creative, but they’re feeling stuck and not allowing themselves to be the creative person they truly are.
I help them believe in themselves, be kinder to themselves and allow themselves to go for the things they really want in life so that they can live their life on purpose.
As a result of this first steps coaching program, you’ll…
- Figure out one of the main beliefs or even the main belief that is holding you back from being creative and be coached through to beginning a new way of thinking so that you can begin to free yourself up to to create.
- Have a simple next-steps plan for self-care and calm so that you can handle challenges from a more grounded place.
- Learn a simple highly effective strategy (confidence first-aid) for when you fail to be your own friend.
This package includes:
‘Reassess’ – a deep diving questionnaire to tune in to who you are and what you want out of life. This thoughtful process will help you stop and take a raincheck on where you are and what you want so that we can make the most of our coaching session together.
‘Rethink’ Coaching Session
A 90-minute 1-1 coaching session in which we’ll cover:
Belief busting work – Buckle up buttercup for deep coaching to unearth and challenge old beliefs that are keeping you stuck.
A three step process for dealing with all your to-dos to leave more time and energy for the things that you would ideally like to be spending your time and energy on.
A simple go-to tool for when pesky negative thinking comes up and tells you all the reasons why you can’t be the creative person you want to be.
My hope is that by the end of the session you’ll feel more tuned into, and more hopeful about the possibility that you can move towards living your life’s true purpose and have some ideas about your next step towards that.
‘The Librarian is In’ recommendations – If you love self-help as much as I do, I would be happy to share a couple of book recommendations or other resource recommendations that I think would be a great fit for you.
Encore! 30 minute coaching catch-up
Two weeks later we’ll check in to see how you’re doing. We’ll adjust your plan as needed so that you can keep moving in the direction of your right life. We’ll work together to help you to leave the session feeling that you’re not kidding yourself about being able to achieve the things you want to achieve and that you can take the next steps.
You can finally feel more able to show up as the real you and that you’re taking steps towards your new way of living and being. And I can help…

Deborah is the epitome of the calm and soothing coach. From the moment you start speaking with her, your energy shifts to match her calm demeanor and wonderful intuitive understanding of what great questions to ask and how to guide you to get the best out of yourself and your time together. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Deborah and would highly recommend working with her if you are someone who knows you have a gift inside and need help “mining it, smoothing it out and getting it polished and most importantly getting it on display for the world to enjoy!” Stop hiding it, you need to share your gift.
You are a gem, Deborah!
Kirsten Jones, Motivational Speaker and Transformational Biz & Life Coach
Deborah has the gift of getting to the heart of things quickly. She helped me to see that I need to claim coaching, that I don’t need to have all the answers and that I have the knowledge and skill to help the women I feel drawn to help. I would recommend her coaching to women in general but particularly to coaches. I experienced several ‘aha’ moments during our session which have stayed with me. As a life coach I really appreciated Deborah’s insight in supporting me to claim the title of coach.

Deborah helped me jump the hurdle of starting a new venture – taking the first step, which is often the hardest. In her gentle and supportive way, she enabled me to see how beliefs affect actions and then helped me explore ways to move forward. I loved the depth of our work together and highly recommend Deborah’s coaching, especially if you’re feeling stuck. It’s a time to discover truths, in a safe and friendly environment.
Gail Schie Transformational Coach, www.inspiredcalm.com
‘Working with Deborah gave me a greater sense of calm and peace and trust/faith that things are working out exactly as they should. I appreciated her calm, gentle energy, her intuitive hunches and the creative playwork she assigned. She was willing to let me go all over the place, exploring this and that nook or cranny and then also always pulling me back to the central issue…intuitively knowing what was most important to look at. I appreciate the encouragement that I DO have access to my intuition and inner wisdom…the reminder that I discount it too quickly.’
Julia Yanker, Transformational Coach
Working with Deborah has been fantastic, I could not recommend her highly enough. Deborah is a great mentor and a very passionate life coach. In just one session with her warm gentle approach, her positivity, compassion and support Deborah was able to help me find full clarity and confidence. I felt connected, inspired, motivated and clear on how and what actions I needed to take in order to move forward to fulfil my career dream goals. Truly AMAZING!
– Diana Carles – Integrative Health Nutrition Coach
When I first signed up for coaching I thought it would be more of a step by step solution, rather than the amazing guidance that it was. I gained more clarity, direction and a sense of calmness. Deborah was able to guide me to go deep and explore what was the true reason behind the overwhelm. I would recommend working with her to anyone that is feeling stuck, overwhelmed, lost or confused. She has some great tools for self-exploration and I absolutely love her approach, her energy and her coaching method. She has tools to go deep and to the core, and that is the key to true and deep transformation.
Gabby-G Emotional Healer
I would gladly recommend Deborah to anyone who is floundering with their coaching practice or their writing and is wanting some compassionate yet firm encouragement to move forward. I also recommend her to anyone who is working with issues of self worth. I really liked her gentle encouragement and her ability to focus and stay on subject.
Deborah has a wonderful ability to zero in on what’s really going on, and in addition to encouragement and helpful suggestions, she is so good at inspiring my own insights about what steps are next for me.
Sarah Grace Powers, Life Coach and Energy Healer, Holistic Hot Sauce
Deborah is a one-of-a-kind coach. She got straight to the heart of my challenge without judgement or discomfort, quickly helping me see through my problem with a new clarity and getting me to come up with ways to dissolve it, which has literally removed the issue. Deb is extremely easy to talk to, incredibly smart and you really feel her intuition. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough to anyone wanting to make positive changes in their life, whether you are entirely new to life coaching, a coach-in-training or a fully qualified coach yourself.
Alison O’Leary, Career and Life Coach www.livetrue.co.uk
Coaching with Deborah has changed my life in a very significant, positive way. I’ve been challenged to think about things differently, in a much better than the way I would naturally revert to thinking. My mind has expanded. My belief in myself feels even more secure. I have taken away many life lessons even from the very first coaching session.
I would recommend working with Deborah to mums who want to run their own businesses from home (or similar) because this would be perfect for these types of visionary, entrepreneurial women. Deborah challenges you to think about problems or internal battles very differently but in such a way that it is YOU discovering the changes and solutions for YOURSELF. She guides people to be their own best friend again and to make changes that they can take away from the call and apply to real life scenarios (without Deborah around to talk through the steps).

Deborah is a natural coach and amazingly resourceful – she always knows just the thing that will help you with your issue.
She is truthful and open and gets to the core of the issue. With Deborah there is nowhere to hide, which is perfect, because she is on your side, she is genuinely supportive of you to reach your true potential, and she knows how to guide you there.
